Rockstar has not yet published the playable GTA 6 radio stations lineup or the complete in-game radio soundtrack.

What we do have is considerably more substantial than it was a few months ago. On September 17, 2026, Rockstar announced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, a 34-track official soundtrack album created in partnership with Atlantic Records. Six singles are already available, while official GTA VI videos give us another group of identifiable songs spanning rock, pop, rap, country, electronic and Latin music.

Those are separate pieces of evidence. An album track, a song used in a trailer and a recording heard from an in-world car radio do not automatically tell us which selectable station they will belong to when the game launches.

What we actually know about GTA 6 radio stations and music

Confirmed

Rockstar announced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album on September 17, 2026. The 34-track album was created with Atlantic Records and launches digitally on November 19, 2026, the same day as GTA VI.

Rockstar has already released six songs from the album and says more information about GTA VI’s music is still to come, including details about the game’s dynamic score and what it calls the “next evolution of in-game radio.”

That is the strongest official information currently available.

Reported or claimed

A number of artists have spoken publicly about working on GTA VI or having music in the game. Publications have also identified additional songs in official footage, while leaked material has generated alleged station names.

These reports can be useful, but they need to be labelled according to their original source rather than combined into one supposedly “confirmed” soundtrack.

Speculation

Predicted station returns, fan playlists and dream soundtracks remain speculation.

A Miami connection, previous appearance in another GTA game or stylistic fit with Vice City is not enough to establish that an artist, song or station will appear in GTA VI.

Official GTA VI album singles

Rockstar has released six singles from Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album.

Their inclusion on the album is official. Rockstar has not assigned them to individual radio stations.

Keith Richards’ “Bright Lights, Big City” is a cover of the song originally recorded by Jimmy Reed rather than a newly written composition.

Songs heard in official trailers and the Extended Look

Official GTA VI videos contain a much broader selection of identifiable music.

Trailer 1 is built around Tom Petty’s “Love Is a Long Road” (1989). Rockstar credits the song directly in the trailer, making it one of the clearest early pieces of music officially associated with GTA VI.

Trailer 2 uses The Pointer Sisters’ “Hot Together” (1986) as its principal soundtrack. Several shorter excerpts can also be identified:

  • “Thunder Island” - Jay Ferguson (1977)
  • “Child Support” - Zenglen (2004)
  • “Everybody Have Fun Tonight” - Wang Chung (1986)
  • “Talkin’ to Myself Again” - Tammy Wynette (1987)

A brief excerpt of “I Love Rock ’n’ Roll” can also be heard. Sources disagree on whether the recording should be attributed to the Arrows or Joan Jett, so we are not assigning a performer until the specific recording can be identified more reliably.

Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, released on August 27, 2026, introduced another set of identifiable tracks.

They include:

  • “Pop Bottles” - Birdman feat. Lil Wayne (2007)
  • “Pound Town” - Sexyy Red and Tay Keith (2023)
  • “Skrilla” - Kodak Black (2014)
  • “Let Your Love Flow” - The Bellamy Brothers (1976)
  • “Love Bites” - Def Leppard (1987)
  • “People Are People” - Depeche Mode (1984)
  • “But I Think It’s a Dream” - Captain & Tennille (1980)
  • “Cars and Girls” - Prefab Sprout (1988)
  • “Off the Grid” - !!! feat. Meah Pace (2019)
  • “Devil Woman” - Cliff Richard (1976)
  • “Se Me Nota (Agárrame)” - Chimbala and Omega (2021)
  • “Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now)” - Phil Collins (1984)
  • “Mine O’ Mine” - Aluna and Jayda G (2022)
  • “Inner Light” - Elderbrook and Bob Moses (2021)

The Extended Look song identifications have been catalogued by publications including PC Gamer and Digital Music News, alongside community trackers such as GTA BOOM.

Taken together, the official GTA VI videos contain at least 20 confidently attributed recordings, plus the short “I Love Rock ’n’ Roll” excerpt with a disputed recording credit.

That gives us a useful picture of GTA VI’s musical direction, but not yet a final radio playlist.

Which GTA 6 radio stations are confirmed?

Rockstar has not formally announced the selectable GTA 6 radio station lineup.

There are, however, two notable references in official imagery.

V-Rock

V-Rock branding appears on clothing worn by Jason in official GTA VI promotional material.

V-Rock is one of the best-known stations associated with Vice City, so the reference is significant. It is still a branding reference rather than proof that a selectable version of V-Rock will return.

Vice City FM

A Vice City FM advertisement has also been spotted in the Extended Look and documented by GTA-focused publications.

Once again, the safest reading is that Vice City FM exists somewhere within GTA VI’s world. Rockstar has not shown a radio selection interface or formally announced it as a playable station.

What about Flash FM, Wave 103 and other classic stations?

There is no official confirmation that Flash FM, Wave 103 or other stations from earlier Vice City games will return.

Several additional station names have circulated through leak coverage, but Rockstar has not published a launch roster.

Songs used in GTA 6 trailers

GTA 6 Trailer 1 music

Trailer 1, published on December 4, 2023, uses Tom Petty’s “Love Is a Long Road” as its principal soundtrack.

The recording originally appeared on Petty’s 1989 album Full Moon Fever.

Its use in the trailer is official, but Rockstar has never assigned it to a GTA VI radio station.

GTA 6 Trailer 2 music

Trailer 2, released on May 6, 2025, builds its main montage around “Hot Together” by the Pointer Sisters.

The trailer also uses several shorter pieces of music before the main track begins.

One particularly interesting example is “Everybody Have Fun Tonight” by Wang Chung, heard around the 0:34 mark from a car radio.

That scene gives us more information than a normal trailer soundtrack placement because the music appears to exist inside the game world itself. It still does not reveal which station is playing it.

Extended Look music

Rockstar released Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look on August 27, 2026.

The company describes the 26-minute presentation as being captured entirely from in-game footage on PlayStation 5.

It is the third major GTA VI video in Rockstar’s official media library, after Trailer 1 and Trailer 2. Rockstar does not call it “Trailer 3.”

The presentation contains the 14 additional recordings listed earlier, although the format of the video means we should not assume that every piece of accompanying music is necessarily playing from an in-world radio.

Are trailer songs part of the GTA 6 soundtrack?

It depends on what we mean by “soundtrack.”

A song can be connected to GTA VI in several different ways:

  • released as part of the official Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album
  • used as promotional music in a trailer
  • heard from an object such as a car radio inside official footage
  • included in the game but outside the radio system
  • placed on a named selectable radio station

Those categories overlap, but they are not interchangeable.

The same distinction applies to GTA VI’s original score. A dynamic score reacts to gameplay and narrative moments, while radio traditionally consists of curated stations containing licensed music, hosts, advertisements and other programming.

Rockstar has confirmed that more details are coming about both the dynamic score and the next evolution of in-game radio.

It has not yet explained how the 34 album tracks fit into those systems.

Artists, DJs and radio hosts linked to GTA 6

Rockstar has not announced GTA VI’s DJ or radio-host roster.

Several musicians have nevertheless spoken publicly about involvement with the game, with very different levels of detail.

T-Pain

T-Pain provided one of the earliest direct participation claims.

In January 2024, he said during a livestream that he had started working on GTA VI and that Rockstar had asked him to stop playing on the NoPixel GTA role-playing server.

He did not explain whether his contribution involved music, voice work, a character, radio hosting or another role.

ScHoolboy Q

ScHoolboy Q also suggested that he would appear in GTA VI.

When a fan asked him in February 2024 to contribute music to GTA VI radio, he replied that he would “be on there.”

No track, station or specific role has subsequently been announced by Rockstar.

Skrilla

In 2025, Skrilla offered a more specific claim.

During an appearance on Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast, the rapper said that “Doot Doot (6 7)” would be in GTA VI and suggested that he would appear in the game himself.

That is a direct artist statement, but Rockstar has not independently announced the song.

Ski Mask the Slump God

Ski Mask the Slump God was linked to GTA VI in May 2026 after an Instagram Story reported by GTA-focused outlets suggested that both his music and music by XXXTentacion would feature.

No specific songs were named.

Panama

Australian band Panama was connected to the soundtrack through a reportedly deleted Instagram reply stating that “Back to Life,” the group’s collaboration with Poolside, would appear in GTA VI.

Because the original comment is no longer publicly available, this is weaker evidence than a recorded interview or permanent public statement.

The Drake radio station claim

The often-repeated story that Drake will have his own GTA VI radio station requires an important qualification.

Producer Jermaine Dupri said during a 2025 interview that Drake had his own station on “Grand Theft Auto” and could potentially supply unreleased music.

He did not explicitly identify GTA VI in the original statement.

Neither Rockstar nor Drake has announced such a station, so it is better treated as a radio rumour than as confirmed involvement.

Alan Palomo

Alan Palomo has spoken about continuing to work with Rockstar, but the comments did not specifically identify GTA VI.

That is not enough to establish his involvement with this game.

Heaven 17 and “Temptation”

One licensing story is considerably more concrete.

Heaven 17’s Martyn Ware said in September 2024 that Rockstar approached his publishers about licensing “Temptation” for GTA VI.

Ware publicly rejected the offer.

That tells us Rockstar considered licensing the song during development. It does not mean “Temptation” will appear in the finished game.

Music licensing, radio hosting, soundtrack appearances and acting are separate roles. Our GTA 6 cast guide covers performance and casting claims separately.

GTA 6 soundtrack and radio leaks

The largest GTA VI leak dates back to September 2022, when development footage was stolen and circulated online.

Take-Two acknowledged the incident, but footage from an unfinished development build cannot establish the final soundtrack.

Music, station names and interface elements can change during development.

More alleged radio material circulated in 2026.

Reporting linked some of that footage to station names including:

  • Back Country Radio
  • Symphony FM
  • CircoLoco Records Radio

These remain leak claims.

Even if a name appeared in a genuine development build, that would not necessarily mean the same station will ship in the final November 2026 release.

How to spot a misleading GTA 6 soundtrack list

The easiest way to assess a soundtrack list is to ask where each entry came from.

A useful hierarchy is:

Official Rockstar announcement → strongest evidence.

Official GTA VI video → confirms the music was used in official material, but not necessarily on a radio station.

Direct artist statement → meaningful, but still subject to changes before release.

Development leak → potentially authentic but unfinished.

Fan playlist or prediction → speculation unless independently sourced.

There is now genuine official GTA VI music available on streaming services through Rockstar’s music page.

That does not make every playlist titled “GTA 6 Official Soundtrack” authentic.

What Vice City and GTA V tell us about GTA 6 radio

The original Grand Theft Auto: Vice City built a large part of its identity around music from the 1980s.

Its stations covered styles including rock, metal, pop, hip-hop, new wave and soul, supported by DJs, talk segments, fictional advertisements and station-specific personalities.

That format made radio feel like part of Vice City itself rather than simply a menu of licensed songs.

GTA VI returns to a modern version of Vice City, so Rockstar does not need to recreate the same period soundtrack.

GTA V offers another useful point of comparison.

Contemporary reporting before its 2013 launch described 17 radio stations and approximately 240 licensed songs, alongside a dynamic original score created by Tangerine Dream, Woody Jackson, The Alchemist and Oh No.

GTA Online later expanded its musical world with new stations and high-profile hosts, including MOTOMAMI Los Santos, hosted by ROSALÍA and Arca.

That history shows how extensively Rockstar has used radio in previous games. It does not tell us how many stations GTA VI will have.

What kinds of music could GTA 6 radio include?

The music Rockstar has released or used so far already spans a wide range of styles.

The available material includes:

  • rock
  • classic rock
  • pop
  • hip-hop and rap
  • country
  • electronic music
  • Latin music
  • Haitian konpa

That makes a soundtrack built purely around 1980s nostalgia unlikely.

Rockstar is instead presenting modern Vice City and Leonida as a contemporary musical environment, while still using older recordings where they fit.

Music also appears to have a direct role in the game’s fictional world.

Rockstar’s character profiles connect Boobie Ike and Dre’Quan Priest with Only Raw Records, while Real Dimez - Bae-Luxe and Roxy - are presented as artists operating within Leonida’s music scene.

Boobie also owns the Jack of Hearts club.

Those are fictional artists, businesses and venues rather than announced radio stations, but they suggest that music will be part of GTA VI’s story and environment as well as something players hear while driving.

What Rockstar still hasn’t revealed about GTA 6 radio

Despite the September album announcement, several major questions remain unanswered.

Rockstar has not yet revealed:

  • the complete playable radio station lineup
  • the number of radio stations
  • the DJ and radio-host roster
  • the complete licensed music catalogue
  • the remaining 28 tracks on Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album
  • how the album relates to in-game radio
  • detailed dynamic score credits
  • whether classic Vice City stations return as playable stations
  • whether GTA VI supports custom music
  • whether there is any Spotify or other streaming-service integration
  • how radio might differ between single-player and any future online component

Rockstar has promised more information about GTA VI’s music, including the dynamic score and its new approach to in-game radio.

It has not given a date for that reveal.
