GTA 6 Cast: Who Voices Lucia, Jason and the Other Characters?
The mystery around the GTA 6 cast is finally starting to clear up, but Rockstar still has not published a full list of actors.
Stephen Root has publicly confirmed that he is part of Grand Theft Auto VI, with Variety identifying him as Brian Heder. Jim Santangeli, who played Simon Pearson in Red Dead Redemption 2, has also said that he worked on a small part in GTA 6.
The two biggest names connected to the protagonists are still unofficial. Manni L. Perez is widely believed to play Lucia Caminos, while Dylan Rourke remains one of the leading theories for Jason Duval. Bobby Moynihan has also been linked to Cal Hampton. None of those three castings has been announced by Rockstar.
So, who is actually confirmed, and which names are still based on voice comparisons, resumes and fan detective work? Here is the current state of the GTA 6 cast.

GTA 6 cast at a glance
Rockstar has officially introduced Jason, Lucia and the game's main supporting characters. What it has not done is publish performer credits for all of them.
There is also at least one actor who has confirmed working on GTA 6 without being connected to one of these named characters. Jim Santangeli says he has a small part in the game, but we do not yet know who he plays.
Who plays Lucia in GTA 6?
Manni L. Perez remains the actor most commonly linked to Lucia Caminos, but the role is still not officially confirmed.
Fans began connecting Perez to Lucia after the first GTA 6 trailer, comparing Lucia's voice and appearance with Perez's previous acting work and interviews. The theory has stayed popular as Rockstar has released more footage of the character.
The August 2026 GTA VI Extended Look gave fans considerably more dialogue to work with. Coverage after its release continued to point toward Perez as the likely performer, but Rockstar has still not published a credit confirming her as Lucia. IMDb listings have also appeared, although IMDb is user-edited and should not be treated as official confirmation.
Perez has appeared in television shows including Jessica Jones, Blindspot and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. She has also previously worked on GTA Online, which is another reason fans have paid close attention to the theory.
Lucia herself is fully official. Rockstar says she learned to fight from her father at a young age and later ended up in Leonida Penitentiary after fighting for her family. After getting out, she is determined to improve her situation and pursue the life she and her mother always wanted.
For now, Perez is best described as the leading rumored actor for Lucia, not her officially confirmed performer.
Who plays Jason in GTA 6?
Dylan Rourke is one of the most prominent rumored actors connected to Jason Duval. Rockstar has not confirmed the casting.
Rourke's name entered the wider GTA 6 discussion in 2024. The Loadout reported a claim from YouTuber LegacyKillaHD, who said an unnamed source had identified Rourke as Jason. The publication made clear at the time that the information was unconfirmed.
Fans have since compared Rourke's previous performances with Jason's voice and appearance. His name also gained more attention after the 2026 Extended Look, but there is still no Rockstar announcement linking him to the protagonist.
Rourke's previous screen work includes appearances in Station 19, Grey's Anatomy and 9-1-1: Lone Star.
Rockstar describes Jason as someone who grew up around criminals and scammers before joining the Army in an attempt to leave his troubled teenage years behind. He eventually ended up in the Leonida Keys, working for local drug runners. His relationship with Lucia sits at the center of GTA VI's story.
Rourke is a plausible candidate and currently one of the most discussed names, but that is still different from a confirmed credit.
Brian Heder: Stephen Root confirms he is in GTA 6
Stephen Root is the strongest publicly confirmed name connected to one of GTA 6's major supporting characters.
Asked about GTA VI in an interview with AP Entertainment, Root replied:
"Yeah, you're gonna see me in there."
Variety reports that Root provides the voice of Brian Heder. Root himself did not name Brian in the short quoted exchange, so there is a small but useful distinction here: Root personally confirmed that he is in GTA VI, while the character identification comes from Variety's reporting.
Brian is one of the characters Rockstar has officially introduced. He is an experienced smuggler from the Leonida Keys who still moves product through his boat yard. Jason lives rent-free at one of Brian's properties in exchange for helping with local shakedowns.
Root has a long list of recognizable roles. He played Milton in Office Space and Fuches in Barry, while animation fans will know his work as Bill Dauterive and Buck Strickland in King of the Hill.
His distinctive voice is also why GTA fans began connecting him to Brian well before he spoke publicly about working on the game.
Jim Santangeli has also confirmed a GTA 6 role
Stephen Root is not the only actor who has publicly acknowledged working on GTA VI.
In June 2026, Jim Santangeli, best known to Rockstar fans as Simon Pearson in Red Dead Redemption 2, said during a TikTok livestream that he had a small part in GTA 6.
When asked directly about the game, Santangeli described his involvement as "a little small bit." He did not reveal his character, and nothing currently connects him to Jason, Lucia or one of the other major named characters.
That still makes Santangeli important to the GTA 6 cast discussion. His participation comes from the actor himself rather than a voice comparison or an anonymous source.
Given how small he says the role is, he could be playing a minor character or NPC, but there is not enough information yet to identify the part.
Cal Hampton: is Bobby Moynihan his voice actor?
Bobby Moynihan is widely rumored to voice Cal Hampton, but the casting remains unconfirmed.
The theory became particularly popular after fans heard more of Cal in GTA VI's Extended Look. Moynihan is best known for his years on Saturday Night Live and has also done extensive voice acting, which made the comparison easy for viewers familiar with his work.
Coverage following the Extended Look noted how strongly fans had connected Moynihan to the character, but neither Rockstar nor Moynihan has publicly confirmed the role.
Cal is Jason's friend and another associate of Brian Heder. According to Rockstar, he prefers staying at home, listening in on Coast Guard communications and diving into conspiracy theories online.
Until an official credit appears, Moynihan belongs in the rumor column rather than the confirmed cast list.
Other GTA 6 characters with no confirmed actors
Rockstar has introduced several other important characters without revealing who performs them.
Boobie Ike and Dre'Quan Priest
Boobie Ike is a Vice City businessman whose empire spans real estate, a strip club and a recording studio. One of his biggest interests is Only Raw Records, which he runs with aspiring music mogul Dre'Quan Priest.
Dre'Quan has been working toward a career in music while making money on the streets. With Real Dimez signed to the label, he sees an opportunity to make a bigger impact on Vice City's music scene.
No reliable performer credits have been established for either character.
Real Dimez: Bae-Luxe and Roxy
Real Dimez is the rap duo formed by longtime friends Bae-Luxe and Roxy.
Rockstar describes them as social-media-savvy rappers who turned their street experience into music and online attention. After an earlier hit with local rapper DWNPLY, they are now signed to Only Raw Records.
Neither performer behind Bae-Luxe or Roxy has been reliably identified.
Raul Bautista
Raul Bautista is an experienced bank robber with a reputation for taking increasingly big risks.
Rockstar describes him as confident, charming and constantly looking for talented people willing to join dangerous scores.
There are fan theories about the actor behind Raul, but none currently has enough reliable evidence to present as the leading identification.
GTA 6 characters in real life: do the actors look like the characters?
Searches for "GTA 6 characters in real life" often mix several different questions together.
Who supplies the voice? Who performs the character's movements? Is the character visually modeled after the actor? Was a real person used as inspiration?
These things can overlap, but they do not have to.
Voice acting covers the vocal performance.
Performance capture can record an actor's physical movements, body language and facial performance so they can be transferred to a digital character.
Character likeness concerns the finished visual appearance of the character.
SAG-AFTRA describes voiceover and performance capture as distinct forms of video-game performance. It also explains performance capture as recording an actor's movement for use in digital characters.
That means physical resemblance can be an interesting clue when fans are trying to identify a GTA 6 actor, but it is not proof.
An actor also does not need to look exactly like the character they perform.
Until Rockstar publishes detailed credits, we should not assume that a single person supplied every part of a character's voice, movement and appearance.
What happened to the other rumored Jason actors?
Jason has probably generated more voice-actor theories than any other GTA 6 character.
Several names have already been ruled out or weakened by later information.
Troy Baker
Troy Baker was one of the earliest major names connected to Jason after fans heard the protagonist's short line in Trailer 1.
Baker addressed the theory in April 2024 and said he was not the performer. He also stressed that the actual actor deserved credit for the work.
That effectively ended one of the biggest early Jason theories.
Roger Craig Smith
After Trailer 2 arrived in May 2025, some fans believed Jason sounded like Roger Craig Smith, known for characters including Sonic the Hedgehog, Ezio Auditore and Chris Redfield.
Smith quickly responded online:
"Nope. Not me."
He later clarified that the voice heard in the trailer was not his.
His statement specifically rules him out as the Jason voice heard in that footage.
Gregory Connors
Gregory Connors became another major candidate in April 2024 after fans found a résumé listing for a "Lead" role in an unnamed Rockstar Games project.
At the time, the project was associated with a planned 2025 release, which naturally made fans wonder if it was GTA VI. The reference attracted even more attention after it was edited.
The problem is that the résumé never identified GTA VI or Jason.
It remains an interesting piece of GTA 6 casting history, but it never amounted to a confirmed Jason credit.
Why Dylan Rourke remains in the conversation
Rourke became one of the strongest later theories after the 2024 claim linking him to the character and comparisons with his previous performances.
More recent coverage continues to list him among the leading candidates. That does not mean the mystery has been solved. Rockstar still has not publicly named Jason's performer.

The strongest current rumors continue to connect Manni L. Perez with Lucia, Dylan Rourke with Jason and Bobby Moynihan with Cal. None of those three castings has been officially announced.
For now, there is still plenty for GTA fans to investigate. Just keep one rule in mind: a familiar voice, a similar face or an IMDb entry can point toward an actor, but it is not the same thing as an official credit.
